Remi Chest

We chose the Remi chest because the nursery closet is tiny and I needed vertical storage more than another wide dresser. The five drawers hold a lot of sleepers, blankets, and extra crib sheets, and the drawer pulls feel sturdy when you’re opening them constantly. The Dove finish is soft and matches the rest of the room without looking too grey.

Only note is that the chest is quite tall, so anchoring it was non-negotiable for us. Once secured, it feels steady and looks much more polished than the plastic bins we were using before.

I looked at this as a long-term purchase, not just a nursery item. The chest is expensive, yes, but the build feels like it should last through more than one child, and that changes the math for me. The drawers open smoothly and the piece does not wobble when pulled. For us, the cost per year makes sense compared with buying something cheaper twice.

I ordered this online and was nervous because I never saw it in person. Honestly, the pictures were accurate, especially the dove colour, and the proportions are what I expected in our nursery. It arrived well packaged with no damage. That was a relief.

Overall the chest is very good and the construction seems solid. The drawer slides are aligned properly and the hardware was decent quality, which I appreciate. My only complaint is that the assembly took closer to two hours than I expected because there are a lot of parts and I had to check the instructions a few times. Once built, it looks clean and the finish is consistent across the front panels.

Good chest for a toddler room. My husband put it together and said the drawers line up well, no weird gaps. It is heavy enough that it does not feel cheap, which I like because our 3-year-old already leans on everything. The dove colour is calm, not too yellow.

After three months of comparing nursery furniture, this chest was the one that made me feel comfortable from a safety and finish standpoint. There was no strong smell when we opened it, which mattered a lot to me, and the painted surface looked smooth with no rough edges. It feels substantial, not lightweight or hollow. We are using it in our nursery with the Remi crib and the colour matches nicely.
