I ordered online and was nervous because I never saw it in person. The stone colour matched the pictures really well, and the size was exactly what I expected in our nursery. Delivery was smooth and it arrived packed properly with no marks. Nice to have one thing go right during baby prep.

I looked at the side profile and immediately liked that the manual mechanism feels substantial, not loose or tinny. The swivel action is controlled, and there is no play in the base when you shift weight. Stitching is even, the fabric tension is consistent, and the frame does not creak when you recline. For a nursery chair, that matters more to me than trendy styling.

After reading way too much online, I was mainly worried about off-gassing and whether the recliner would feel flimsy. It arrived with no chemical smell at all, which was a big relief for me. The chair feels heavy and stable, and the swivel is smooth without any weird noise. It is not a cheap piece, but for a nursery chair I wanted something that felt safe and well made.

We saw this at the showroom in North York and I’m glad we did, because the fabric and proportions read much better in person than online. It felt more like a real furniture purchase than the usual nursery-chair compromise. I had compared it with a couple of premium options and this was the one that felt the most balanced between comfort and quality. The staff were helpful too, which made the whole decision easier.

We had a glider from our first baby that cost more and honestly felt less comfortable than this one. This Aspen chair looks and feels like a much pricier nursery recliner, but the value was better than what I saw at Pottery Barn and West Elm. The fabric has a nice texture and it doesn’t feel flimsy at all. For a second nursery, it was an easy yes.
